Clearly popular, usually a few make it into the open market shortly after release but have only come across one slightly overpriced example so far...

Bachmann have shifted the goalposts a bit, and increased their prices for club membership: now you can join for just the mags and catalogue, annual wagon is extra. Combined gauge membership doesn't include an option for N+OO9.

Nice that they have done an n-gauge version of the hfictional (?) but popular Mk1 Royal Mail POT coach livery the initially only offered in OO. That will fit in with the mobile sorting office Graham Farish produced several years ago in similar livery.

The 2025 wagon appears to be a more modern (metal?) container on a conflat A.

It's on page 7 of the current club magazine. Apparently, the membership year starts on the 1st of July, which is when this change comes into effect.

It is set out in the last edition of Bachmann Times (just received - page 7).

Standard Graham Farish Collector's Club membership for UK costs £29.99 without a wagon, "Premium" with one Club wagon is £39.99, "Deluxe" with 2 Club wagons is £49.99.


So for "Premium" the wagon costs a "whacking" £10 or so extra.

I think the package remains exceptional value for what you get, including the other collectors club "specials", quarterly mag, extended 2 year warranty on locos, and outings. Edit: and "not quite perfect" day.

Read this too and would agree that it's good value, especially as club models in n seem to be more regular now than in the past. Never really that bothered by the wagon in the past as wooden opens don't really fit my interests but this one seems a good match to early blue diesels which is more my thing.

Perhaps more encouraging though is that, although the picture in the mag is small, it looks like the conflat may have the NEM coupling upgrade as per the recently announced vans.

The other thought that occurred was that, even if British rail containers don't fit your modelling, it's a really cheap way of getting a modern spec match wagon for the Society crane.
