Seeing Bob Symes shows on Pendon motivated me to start modelling again about
a year ago. I now have a large N gauge Layout.
Sad to hear he is gone.
I hope his garden railway will be looked after.

An acknowledgement of his passing at last. There's an obit in the Daily Telegraph today.

The obits in the Telegraph and Guardian extensive and full of  interesting facts about
someone who had a very colourful life and packed a lot into it.

Sadly I never knew much about Bob, but I have heard a lot of people talk about him and the kind of person he was.

As a military man to a veteran it is time for you to rest your duties are done
Mechanical issues can be solved with a hammer and electrical problems can be solved with a screw driver. Beyond that it's verbal abuse which makes trains work!!
