Just seen this on the internet from Hobbies Plus in Australia. http://www.hobbiesplus.com.au/history_of_model_railways.htm. Very interesting from Australia. I'm sure Bealman and the other Aussies on the forum have seen this but it gives a nice concise history.
Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!
