Three programmes with this title on BBC 1 between Xmas & New Year . 1930s period comedy , great cast .NOT to everyone's taste I'm sure , but brilliantly done and Miranda Richardson (as Mapp) gives an outstanding performance . Pick it up on BBC Iplayer.....here endeth the advert ! Best wishes to one & all , Ric

Saw the first one and have recorded the next 2.
A wonderful exercise in snobbery ;D

Someone has to say it, and it might as well be me! Saw the original series, many years ago, and the new one is very poor by comparison. Watched all three episodes, just to see what had been re-written and changed. The period clothing was pretty good, as the general atmosphere, but that was about it.
And don't get me started on that waste of a part James Corden in Esio Trot!

I thought it was one of the highlights of the festive schedule - superbly acted and with a marvelously acid script my Steve Pemberton.

Fans of classic British comedy should note that BBC I-Player has some Ealing comedies available to watch including Whisky Galore, Kind Hearts and Coronets and The Lavender Hill Mob.

Not a major fan of Whiskey Galore ... but have LHM on the Sky box for some other time :)  And almost forgot about KH&C !!!  Turned on after it had started :(  But watched anyway (bar 5 mins 'first footing') - a really great film, one of Sir Alec's best !!!
