Peter....

Did you have one of those Triang suspension bridges?

You lucky, lucky.....

Now I understand the abundance of bridges on your layout!

George

Yes George, lucky no!

I just saved all my pocket money etc!  I also had the Tri-ang turntable and a presentation model of the "Britannia" locomotive complete with Brass fittings that was  given to a gentleman retiree from Tri-ang!

I cannot remember how much Super 4 track I had eventually but it was a lot!

Regards Peter.

Oh.... not the old Super 4 track.... it was so overscale 'cos it had holes where you could clip things between the sleepers, and being steel rather than nickel silver, it would go rusty when you tried to ballast it!!

Yes but the Britannia did have Magnadhesion and would pull all of my rolling stock until it got to a corner then the first four carriages would pull over sideways!!!  Those holes were fantastic for the catenaries for my CKD Elektra!

The good old days!

Bealman

Actually, Peter.... you've got me reminiscing now....

The closest I ever got to CKD was a couple of 'scale length' maroon coaches....   :uneasy:

I had a Triang goods train, the doors/flaps on the coal wagon opened up for unloading,
you don't get that with N do you? Or maybe you do. I also had a wagon which doesn't
seem to appear in N, a 4 wheel wagon with two cable drums each about the size of a 5p coin.

Those were the days!
