Bluebell Railway - 4x2's 2nd Day out
« on: September 20, 2014, 11:07:48 PM »
Hi all !

Been on my travels again, this time to East Sussex to visit the famous 'Bluebell Railway'. Here's a small collection of my best photos from today (Sat 20th). I don't know the Southern very well, so please feel free to indentify the various loco's - I'm pretty sure the big 4-6-0 is an S15, but thats it !

That's probably about it for this year with big trips... There are a few more steamers coming through my local station Keynsham (Keynsham is pronouced       'cain shum'  - after a conversation with a staff member on the bluebell it seems only the Keynsham locals can say it proper like !)

Avon Valley Railway (known as 'Bitton Railway' locally) has an Autumn steam gala coming up, no doubt I'll be there too...!

Yes, the 4-6-0 is the S15. The little 0-6-0 is one of their SECR P class locos, whilst the 0-4-4 tank is an SECR H class.

Thanks Claude

I should really get into the habit of finding out what these loco's are before posting my pics... Too keen as usual !

I just LOVE the SE&CR livery!  The H Class is my favourite loco at Bluebell, but every time I go there it's asleep in the shed. ::) :)
