Hi Guy's need some advice on base boards. I've come across this website of kit form baseboards which I'm quite intrested in as I am not bothered about messing up the buildings foliage and track or ballasting but the baseboard I want right from the start has anyone ordered from these before or any other ideas for pre made baseboards I would like 3ft by 1ft as it would fit nice on a spare side desk I have. Many Thanks Chris

Hello

I bought my baseboards as kits from Model Railway Solutions. I'm very pleased with them.

I wrote about them and posted pictures in this thread http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=14450.45 scroll down to reply #52

Hope this helps

Best regards

Hi Michael, Thank you for the reply, They look like a good kit and think you've made up my mind on ordering which I will do tonight. Only after a small kit 3ft by 1ft but this has confirmed its the right choice. Many Thanks Chris

The East Dorset area group, rented some space from them during last winter so we could work on the group layout any day, not just the 2 days a month we could do at the community centre where we usually meet.

We got to know them quite well and saw a lot of their work "in progress" we were quite impressed, they share premises with Platform Models.
Cheers MIKE

I bought a small 3ftx2ft baseboard from them and was so pleased with it I bought a 5ftx3ft and linked them as a single 7ftx3ft board. I found them very helpful and very obliging in both instances

I've became very interested in this company lately, carpentry being one of my weaker points (among others  :-[ ). Could someone let me know how deep the base boards are please? If I go down this route, and it's looking like I might, I would need to go other a chest of drawers and obviously don't want the potential layout to be too high.

Thanks in anticipation....
