I hadn't read this thread before.  Really lovely layout and just the kind of thing I enjoy building.  I look forward to reading about the extension.

Evening all.

Had a chat to Steve Flint from Railway Modeller and it has been confirmed that Wenlock will be featuring in the September 2018 issue which should be in the shops mid August :) The layout will have a rare run tomorrow outside of a show whilst I get a couple of extra pics to go with the article.

Cheers

Ollie

Evening all,

One quick photo to  show of the make shift lighting rig that I knocked up to get some better photos last night!

I'll post the actual images once the article has been published but making this temporary rig has really moved making the actual lighting rig up on the to do list!

Cheers

Ollie

Afternoon all.

Following on from the previous post showing the temporary lighting rig uses for the Railway Modeller pics, I have now started to build the actual one! This should be ready to go for the Ellesmere show in just under 3 weeks. It's been built so I can easily extend it over the winter whilst the layout extension is built.

Cheers

Evening all,

A little more progress on the lighting rig. I've spent some of today building the frame. For now it is attached to the layout and the rig via screws purely until the extension is built. Once we have extended the screws will be replaced with some more heavy duty bolts. Since the below pics were taken the rig has had it's first coat of gloss black. Next job is to actually add the lights to it!

Cheers

Evening all.

Double update today. First off.... let there be light! I have now added some LEDs to the rig. These are only fixed temporarily in anticipation of the extension.

Oh and the big news...Wenlock has made the press. My Subscriber copy of Railway Modeller arrived today so I cnangive you all an early glimpse. Get your copy on Thursday.

Just in time for Ellesmere!!

Cheers
