Still no wood then?

Allegedly due next Wednesday now, owing to pandemic related issues.

Either people have been driven to making their own loo-roll or some folk are taking easter rather too literally this year

A bank holiday delivery from Kernow Model Rail Centre, a pleasant Easter surprise as I only put the order in yesterday

The Farish Class 150 is a pure rule 1 purchase, it doesnít fit the layout but I do like multiple units.  Ironically I only went online to buy the maroon PLV (top left) as a replacement after I dropped a box on my existing one and damaged it beyond repair.  But model railway orders do tend to spiral :-[

I got two of 'em Steve. Same livery as well. Good choice!  :)

Don't tempt me

I do rather fancy another, but in the livery shown above.  It's on Farish's Ha-Ha forthcoming release list and a snip at only an arm and a leg ;)

I've been circling these like a vulture for months, as the 150 etc. are just outside my period of interest. I can't work out if the light blue livery is before or after the mainly grey Sprinter version.

The moving finger.  Having enjoyed the ability to run trains around a much larger circuit for a few days, Iíve now thrown a spanner into the works by preparing for the mythical timber delivery.  Out with the standard set-track geometry and in with a bit of flex which will be the start of a transition curve.

For the purposes of illustration, my finger is pushing things over rather more than will be the case in reality.

When did I inherit my Grandfatherís wrinkly hands? :o

Iíve started track laying on the new peninsula boards, flexing Kato Unitrack to get more sweeping curves.  The inside track is only glued down as far as the pink glass-fibre pen so there are still kinks to be ironed out, but the general design is now apparent.

The lower level return loops were to be completely off-stage according to my original plan, but this is the area you first see when you walk into the room.  So I thought a long, thin scenic area would be an advantage.

As Mr. May is a master of bending his guitar strings, you are a master of bending straight Kato track :admiration:
