Seems it passed a bit further south. Cardiff got some localised flooding but looks like London got a caning. And another government infrastructure project has collapsed

Here in the 'desolate' north we just have gusty winds but the rain is coming down diagonally and it's been peeing down since the early hours of the morning. Nothing like the shots I have seen on the news regarding the south, so I hope everyone is OK in the areas affected

Strong winds yesterday but this morning just breezy and damp, that's enough about me, as for the weather we are doing just fine  >:D

Just testing to see who is wide awake.
Glad to see those who have passed the test

Looks like we missed the worst of the winds in Peterborough ahthough we have had some flooding. Sun's out now and it loks quite nice.

Not so on the ECML, with no trains south due to trees down and OHL problems, etc... :(

The storm caused some delays here Network Rail worked through the night with their chainsaws clearing the lines, couple of power lines down and some surface water in the station car park but all in all minimal disruption as the dawn broke and the N Gauge workmen restored normal service on the layout.  :smiley-laughing:
Another house move despite "never again" has given me a second floor layout so Geominster Mainline & Heritage Line will be modified and enlarged with siding storage.

My Facebook Diary is Geominster if anyone wants to view it please ask, it is a private group requiring acceptance, thanks.

This then is my third version modified which has been improved from previous efforts and lessons learned.

Geominster was my first project which has now been dismantled. Having learnt so much from  previous Geominster projects this is the latest one.

Latest Youtube video is here.

Just caught a brief item on the news. Apparently, a tree fell in someone's garden, which they found when they opened the back door, and the tree was trying to get in! Only damage was his model rail rolling stock falling over - and he had loads!

Nothing running on Greater Angrier all day, so stayed at home.  No power from 7:30 to about 13:30, so stayed at home slightly chilly and not doing much :-P

A reasonable stretch of fence down on the side the neighbours are responsible for (at least, as far as I can tell from the deeds), one slightly wobbly post on our side.

A pretty lucky escape, all told - hope everyone else is safe and well.
