Ha! I've been clearing lots out particularly old computer junk and related stuff.

Not got that much weird N gauge stuff - I'm not really a collector as such so when I do pick up rarities or ancient stuff some folks collect I've tended to offload it to them.

Do have a Dave Jones class 22 (pre Dapol) and a couple of 121s still running nicely.

Hoarder? Oh yeah! On I bought a very expensive pair of Italian shoes on my trip to Europe recently and the box and carry bag they came in were so cool I wanted to throw the shoes away and tale the bag and box on the plane instead!  :laugh3:

Yes, totally...got loads of spares and bits that "might come in useful" going back thirty-odd years. I may well end up taking a load of bits to the NGF meet in a couple of weeks to get rid..

I won't mention the garage full of old comics, 1980s home computers, tapers, disks, etc.... :-[

As I was reading this post Mrs "H" picks up a small carefully wrapped piece of  string (its fine chord in my book) and says ...What's this ???.  I was clearing out the kitchen "useful bits" drawer and saved it just in case.  Also this morning on the dog walk I unearthed an old nay vintage ceramic telephone/electric poll style insulator and was questioned by the said Mrs H "what are you going to do with that"?. My "it will come in handy one day" didn't go down too well. I also have three cantinas (Italian lower floor storage rooms) that are full of "will come in handy" stuff.  So hoarder NO!

There are "telephone insulator collectors" ... be warned ;-)

Mrs "H" is now banging her head against the wall in disbelief.

She should be saying "quick auction it as *rare*"

When they were younger they found the railway room a very useful source of cardboard, glue and paint for school projects.

  :D

silly moo I had the same thing in my family when my boys were younger, suddenly all that stuff was useful when a school project came up.
