Thanks for posting that.
Not just great looking carriages, but lots of information as to where run, formations etc.
I have 4 green ones on pre-order
 :thankyousign:

Our order has left Bachmann HQ and all being well will be arriving with us tomorrow morning ;)

 :NGaugersRule:

Unfortunately if they arrive with Rails this morning the last posting date has gone :'(
If Rails send them out before Christmas then we won't receive them until between Xmas & New Year - providing they haven't been 'lost in the post' backlog

One of the locos I'll be using is the Farish green Std class 5.

Standard 3 or 4 tanks often hauled short rakes in the west country. Often these would be through portions detached from a longer train such as the ACE. There is a nice shot of Halliwell junction below showing SR, LMS and BR standard motive power all available.

Well, that's just not good enough. Some fount of all knowledge you are!   ;)

Just received mine from Hattons.  :bounce: The 12 month wait was well worthwhile. Will be using my Standard Class locos and the T9. Now to wait for the Maunsells!

The only problem with the piccie of Halwell junction is that the coach in view is a brake composite, not available form Grafar but hopefully wil be added to the range in the future. The lack of a brake comp blocks the 2 coach sets as wel as they were brake 3rd + brake comp. Very frustrating as my layout has space for 2 coach sets. 3 coaches fit on my cassettes but not with loco as well. aaargh!! never mind I am planning on having a 3 coach set of the blodd and custard then adding a 2 coach green set as and when the BCK arrives, assuming it does!

Yay so I'll be able to get the etched replacement sides done over Christmas and New Year

Alan,

Are you doing any new etched sides in addition to those that have been up there for some time and will they still all need the 'non-Blue Riband' Farish coaches as a starting point?

Do you know if you will be able to include a BCK in the list?

Those are sized for the Mark 1 coaches but yes they'll be about the first getting tweaked back to fit the new Bulleids.

In fact my Bulleids arrived this morning - ordered Friday, shipped Saturday arrived today. Excellent postal service

Not yet measured them.. been far to busy with Christmas stuff  :beers:

Oh, that's good news, I've not received mine yet. When you get a chance to look at them can you let us know what diagram they are?

Cheers  :beers:

The brake is S3992S and very nicely modelled even down to different bogie fittings for the correct footboards each end. The vents are on the glazing which offers some interesting options. The obvious downers on the ones here

- the green shade on the vents is subtly different to the body. Only really visible with a camera photo or magnifier
- The toilet window is the usual modern thick plastic glazing but with the white on the inside. The resulting toilet window really lets the model down.

It's actually minor stuff - the toilet window stands out because the rest is so well done and the underframe is superb.

Thanks Alan,

That's a recommendation in my book! That's to diagram 2123 which is fine by me...
