That's it!

Right, it's RTR for me from now on, I have returned to N gauge after a gap of 20+ years, and have discovered I have aquired OO fingers and O scale eyeballs, no more Muir (American) kits for me. Just saying.

We all have our reasons for RTR, Bill.
I am totally cack-handed and my hands are none too steady but I do have some kits to make on the basis (a) they don't exist in RTP (ready to plant) and (b) I want to be able to say "I made that"

Yeah, probably a too inclusive statement Nobby/Mick? I'm ok with Peco wagon kits and I intend to try the NGS Macaw when the shop re-opens see what happens then, if it goes well then that's fine but loco mods and repairs are out.

Pete, aka oldbill,

Ignore those other sods who like to extract the proverbial, Pete ::) :P
I'm certainly with you on the loco bit. It usually ends up, as with electrickery, in an involuntary bowel movement just at the thought of it :-[

Nothing wrong with RTR. With the standard of running, finish and detailing these days there seems little point in flogging yourself to deathy over a hot soldering iron only to find that one of the big manufacturers brings out a RTR version 6 months later.
