Really looking forward to seeing Horseblock Lane 'in the flesh' at TINGS this year. Is the retaining wall Scalescenes or something similar? Could you provide a close up shot of it since I'm considering using brick paper instead of embossed plasticard on Houghtonbrook?

:hmmm: Will have to see how cruel the close up looks! It is Scalescenes mostly, although i'm not sure I followed the instructions closely enough as it's missing a proper parapet wall! I used some paper from a free download site to include repairs in different colours.

When I get the layout down from the loft to prep it for the next trip out i'll see what I can rustle up for you. :camera:

Is this close enough?

Thanks. Continues to look good closer up. A little closer still? Only joking!
Still not sure which way I'll go on Houghtonbrook. Redutex embossed adhesive sheets are also an option.

I had a go at a few more, and whilst they look a little ropey this close they show it as it is. I'm afraid I have no experience of Redutex adhesive sheets though!

Echoing Trevor's sentiments, I am really impressed with the steps. May I ask how these are built?

I love that layout. Wonderful stuff!

I missed TINGS by a hare's whisper last year.... almost worth another airfare to see Horseblock Lane this year!

Better put Lotto on....  :'(

Hi Dave, it was built from a Pola 'High Level Bridge' which is a standard two track footbridge. I just used the bits for the steps on one side and turned them sideways at the first landing. It's plastic and I used the normal plastic glues. It cost 7 at a show and i've still got the top platform and the other side to use!

George, it's only 54inches x 11 inches. It would be cheaper to post it to you!  ;D

When i'd finished testing Easi-shunt couplings for their ease of shunting today I took a few quick shots. The layout is 'undressed' without vehicles or lighting bar but the lights show up as a result, a little too much when they're right into the lense! Apologies for the quality, I think the Macro setting was the wrong one for the depth of field in these. They do show off the 'reserve' set of Cement tanks nicely though. :)
