Has anyone managed to dismantle one yet and fit a working flashing blue light on the roof?
Thinking the Anglia might be the best one to try it on but would need to drill a 1.25mm hole for the lamp.
The Humber estate I suspect did not have a blue flashing light.

The Kent Humbers had a police sign and a blue light on the roof, or just a blue light.

Had not realised how hard this is going to be.

Purchased an Anglia today and looking at it the fixing screw seems to be right where I want to put the blue light.
Can possibly drill through where the screw should go and then glue the base back on with the wires coming out where the screw should be.
Need to be in a very brave mood to try it.
No Humbers in stock so not going that route now, plus would have needed a repaint due to being black.

Result

One Ford Anglia with working flashing light.
I had an old Z gauge blue light and  12V flasher module.

How to do it.

Remove screw that holds wheels and base to body.
Carefully insert bulb and wire through screw hole, and put on one side.
Using a 1.5mm drill and pin vice,open out the hole that the retaining screw used.
Drill right through and out of the roof CAREFULLY
Remove drill and feed bulb up the hole from the bottom until happy with the amount showing.
Test with 9V battery before proceeding further.
Replace wheels and floor pan and glue in place.

Pictures will  follow just waiting for camera to recharge.
