Hi,

I just noticed this on Hattons, but am not sure what it is actually intended to be  :hmmm:

I am guessing that this is more an unloading point, where the fuel from tankers will be pumped into the storage tanks, rather than a refuelling point.

or have I got that wrong ?

cheers

Hi Alan,

I think it is the building that houses the pumps and control gear that control the movement of fuel to/from the storage tanks and the fuelling point.

Hope that helps.

If you look at pics of buxton tmd they have something like this between the fuel storage tanks.

I believe Scruff is right. The fuel flows from the tanks to the pump house then it's pumped under pressure to the fuel point.

cheers for that, I assumed that there must be some fuelling / loading involved with it as it appears to have a heavy fuel hose, which I thought might be for fuelling / unloading.

many thanks
