Hi from New York!
« on: May 29, 2011, 04:53:23 PM »
I've just registered with this N Gauge Forum, and thanks to Lawrence for inviting me in!  May I begin with an admission?  N Gauge is not my primary modelling scale, which is HO, but I find myself drawn more and more to building a layout within a smaller space. Nothing built as yet, and I will need to draw on the resources here as well as ask questions.  I like the look and feel of this forum.

By the way, although now living on the far eastern tip of Long Island, New York, I grew up in Worcestershire.  Moved around quite a bit since then in various jobs, and eventually travelled the world with the Royal Navy.  I am, what is traditionally called,  "man of the cloth" with a small country parish here in the USA.

Welcome to the forum.  I hope we can persuade you to make an N Gauge layout. ;)

Oh very well, Lawrence!  I've put it out of reach. ;)  For the benefit of others, in other modelling forums I have somehow, over the years, developed the reputation of drastically breaking up my layouts and starting again.  The axe has become a tool of the trade ::)

Hmmm.  I was the Assistant Chaplain at RALEIGH in 89 (until April 1990 when I went to Lympstone.)  Do you think we could have met?
