Typesof N gauge

Is there more than 1 N gauge?.  I just got hold of an Old Triang Grain hopper in N Gauge and it does not fit Kato unitrack.  Was there an older wider N gauge or is this just a duff waggon?

Triang never produced any N gauge. Most likely it is TT.
