Took some stock to the club last night............

Tonight I got to run my 1920s SECR freight train

Beautiful! Is that GF 372-775? I've had her in the "cart" at TMC and just... what? Can't pull the trigger.

Also; does your club double as a metal detecting club or are those vacuum handles?

I have both 372-775 and 372-775A

For some strange reason the club seems to have 3 vacuum cleaners

As we all swelter in this 'heatwave' I deliberately took a couple of pics of my blue Brush Type 2 with blue snowplough and blue support StoveR, the aim being to create some A.I. pics
I hope the sight of them makes you feel cooler

I like the green ones better than the white ones.

Missed last week as I was lazing around in hospital with an 18 hour drip in my left arm.
So this week I had a Southern Region night, using a C lass, N class, Std 4MT and a Q1.
Here are the 4MT and Q1 in action...............

Good to see a Southern brake van tagged on the end of the Q1 train

I do so love spending other people's money

The cover of the NGS Journal 5/25 carried a photo of SECR C Class 0-6-0s double heading a train.
Obviously I could not create an exact replica as I don't have the same layout but, with huge thanks to @Train Waiting for his incredible generosity, I submit to you something vaguely similar with A.I. having corrected any out of focus items. This is on our club layout 'Heatherley'

[Newportnobby]

I took 3 Dapol locos to the club tonight, fully expecting them to play up as (a) I find Dapol steam (with cardan shaft) to be somewhat fragile and (b) our club layout has not really been set up on the level so some joints are a bit untrustworthy. So, if you're into steam I present for your delectation a 9F, an A4 and a Britannia

Just in case a couple of the Dapols played up, as back up I took a Minitrix Britannia and a 9F which, let's face it are probably coming up for their 50th birthdays. They were not perfect runners but good enough to warrant their own vids (yes, I was chuffed )
