I'm having issues with my class 47 loco as it stutters around the track.

I removed the bogies and on one of them the wheels lock up.

On one of the Wheelsets the drive gear is loose and must be slipping.

Any idea where I can find a replacement Wheelset or a Bogie.. I'm struggling..

Maybe contact lprails and see if Lee can oblige. Alternatively bachmann-spares

Bachmann spares also do individual wheelsets, if you can identify which one is locking up.

Make sure you get the right size, though, but I find the spares dept. are very good with assistance and selling you the correct part(s) if you speak to them.

You seem to need at least one wheelset if the gear is slipping, that's probably also causing the lock-up, but also check to make sure there's no small debris between the gears on the offending bogie.

Thanks everyone I will measure them then send an E Mail to lprails and Bachmann to  see if they can help.

The class 47 loco has been in the Graham Farish range since the Poole days, and the tooling has changed over time.  Best to be sure which version you have, so suggest include some photos of the chassis and closeup of the bogie underside if/when emailing enquiries?

Should be no need to replace the complete bogie.  If the correct gear can be identified and sourced it can be replaced on the existing axle.   If dismantling wheelsets is not your thing (best done with a worm/gear puller tool) then buy a complete replacement wheelset.

Come to think of it, Minitrix also made a class 47, so which is it you have....?

Graham Farish bought it around twelve years ago new.

I've pulled the bogie off and removed the faulty Wheelset.

Just need a replacement

Should be these then: Farish N Spares

Alternatively count the number of teeth and just order a gear to suit, plus a gear puller, as NTP said.
