I would have posted this in the Book Review section but it ain't working.
I've ordered one of these as a reference book (although it's not exactly a book as such) and will comment further on receipt.........

Not quite the same subject, but does anyone know if Jenkinson's Vol 2, History of British Coaching Stock (1923 - 1953) has drawings in it?

The book British Railway Carriages of the 20th Century Volume 2: The years of consolidation, 1923-53 by David Jenkinson published by Patrick Stephens Ltd in 1990 does have a number of line drawings of various sizes of individual carriages and carriage formations.

Of necessity the Rolling Stock guide is heavy on text but also carries many pictures, and does make for a handy reference. It also attempts to give an idea of 'what it's worth'.
Unsurprisingly, Farish (in the forms of GraFar and BachFar) form the majority of the listings.

Later this year a Collector's Guide to RTR British freight stock 1967- date is due out.
