you can bet they will, will 33/1 being out first  :smiley-laughing:
Same thing has happened to me numerous times, Kingdom Kits 90 (remember those!), just finishing the paint job and out came the Farish one , same with the 87 and recently the LMS Inspection saloon. doh!

Now do i finish my 85 or are Bachmann going to take the proverbial ....................... :-\

Hmmm - there's a pattern emerging here :o
Are you sure they haven't fitted surveillance cameras to your workbench

As well as discontinued locos, they tend to do the same with rolling stock or not producing differences to make a rake.
An example is the HST. To make an accurate rake you need mk3 coaches with 1st and 2nd class and TGS and TRFB coaches to make an accurate 8 coach rake. Time and again they only release 2 nd class for example, leaving out other coaches you will need to complete an accurate rake. I wished they released train sets like KATO euro star where all engine units and coaches are in 1 set.

This is why my HST is still Farish. The Dapol one is a lovely model, but assembling all the bits is still impossible, and no doubt by the time the TGS and RFM have appeared the other stuff will have gone.

So the Farish one has been spruced up, fitted with sound, closer coupled, had the bogus buffers removed, and at some point will get the missing detail behind the bogies at the back fitted from some old ECS Compspeed castings for their HST kit of old.

I couldn't agree more Alan. That is also the reason my Farish HST's are soldiering on and the reason why I didn't buy a Dapol HST. If they released all correct coaches at same time then I would have definitely bought one. Shame really as I like Dapol HST, but I can't stand having an engine without the correct train.

Using Dapol power cars with Farish Trailers is my solution

I would like to, but I think the Dapol coaches and power units are better modelled than the Farish ones which makes the farish coaches stick out in a mixed rake IMO, but each to their own.

The Dapol ends look wrong, the glazing I like less but overall I agree entirely.

I think really it depends on period too - the blue/grey Dapol ones are the same moulding as the modern ones so have bits they shouldn't. The Farish ones ditto in the other direction !
