What type of carriage is this?

Hi

Can anyone identify what sort of carriage i have. I believe it is a Mk1 something, but not sure what!!!

Thanks for the replies. Someone tried to weather them so was thinking of getting some relivering labels from Electra Graphics to make them better.

Thanks for the replies. Someone tried to weather them so was thinking of getting some relivering labels from Electra Graphics to make them better.

For that one you may well not be able to. Check the underside but it's probably old enough that it is a sold plastic shell and has the window inserts not the clear shell used later. That does mean you can do other cool things with it instead.

Bernard (TPM) did a whole load of replacement window strips for the old design coaches including for converting them into Mark 2a/b/c etc. So you can pop out the glazed bit, repaint it and then fit the new window inlay. So you can certainly refurb it into blue/grey intercity or scotrail including some other types. There's also an etch + strips combination for making the DBSO (the coach that ran at the far end of the 47/7 rakes)
