Aldi Pencil 12-Packs

I've just bought a set of Script Premium Artist's Watercolour Pencils, made in China. 

Does anyone know how useful these might be for scenic/weathering purposes please? 

Wording on the back of the tin reads

"Explore blending techniques by colouring and shading, then adding water carefully with a paintbrush for the watercolour finish." 

They also do a 12-pack of Metallic Pencils.  The wording reads

"Explore creative techniques by colouring and shading with a subtle shimmer finish." 

Having not used watercolours that much and never having used metallic pencils, I wonder how good they'd be, and if anybody's had experience of either of them.
