Possibly one for the classifieds forum but kind of seeking input first.
I've been working on my Ivebridge layout for a few years now on and off and it's already gone through one big house move and been chopped and re-arranges to be a bit more practical (ie smaller ) but now I'm looking at a major move in the next week to Spain and my effective options for Ivebridge are to either chop out the main scenic section and salvage what track I can before chopping up and dumping the rest or to give the layout away as-is if I can find someone who can cart it away (it's fairly big, but feasibly portable).
It's not a complete layout as it's designed to have 'temporary' Kato track loops at either end and the points are mostly rodded to servo motors at the front but it could be an interesting project for someone or a club.

Your error could be that the file is too large.
Also, what is your location.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Malc beat me to it on both counts. Regarding the pic, best to assume 2MB is the max nowadays so you may need to resixe the pic.

Quite likely as it's direct from my photo library. I'll export and post from my Mac as a smaller file.
I'm in SE London (Greenwich/Bromley area)

yup, 2mb seems to be the limit now (despite the interface saying 7.4mb max),  but pic uploaded.

There's also various pics of the layout in construction and reconstruction in my thread here..

Just been through a similar exercise with my (much smaller) layout. In the end, we were getting a container to move our stuff overseas, so why not just put the layout in with the rest because there was room for it. It will be a shame if the container doesn't arrive but at least it's insured.

The problem I have is that I'm right up to the limit of the shipping space I have available (can squeeze a chunk in but that's about it) and there's nowhere to put the full layout at the other end, let alone set it up with the end sections and actually run it :(

It's also compounded with it being a very hurried move (van comes on the 26th) and anything left after that goes in a skip.

Just realised also that I've already packed my jigsaw, although I *think* I know which of the 50+ boxes it's in.

Problem solved. My move date's been moved forwards, so I've chopped the board up and kept the main scenic section to pack. Along with as much of the track as I could safely recover.
