slipping wheels

one of my dapol 14xx loco's wheels are slipping when i run it  ??? it does it even though it is pulling no carriages or wagons i have cleaned the wheels track etc but still it does this all other loco's run fine  ??? anybody any ideas how to remedy this please

It must be too high - is it missing a tyre?  If so, you could try bullfrog snot.

they don't have tyres :'(

Have you stood it on a mirror?  That should enable you to see if there's a height problem.
