In the last 2 days I've had 3 phishing emails. Two from supposedly Paypal saying my account was blocked with a follow up the following day to say they were still waiting for me to unblock it. A quick check of my account showed no problems.
The third was today from "ebay" wanting to know where his item was. I haven't sold on ebay for two years!
The emails were forwarded to Paypal and ebay    spoof@......
The emails look genuine. The thing that gives them away is the senders address is not correct, .....domain.com
Take care and be vigilant.

Thanks for the warning Brian.
I get these from Ebay, Paypal, various banks and building societies etc on a regular basis.
Just ignore them.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

I get them regularly and  have done for years , I know of no definate cure other than regularly changing my email address , but as that's a pain the butt I just ignore them and delete them almost everyday .

I get heaps of crarubbish through Yahoo but can't change my address so change my password on a regular basis. I believe I was hacked over a year ago so deleted all my contacts at the time to avoid them getting spurious crarubbish but sometimes one still gets through to them :confused2:
I just know which ones to delete without opening them.

I put me phone down in the toilet at the club last night and left it there.  When I went back to get it a few minutes later it was gone.

Can't wait to see the rubbish I'll start copping.

You mean on the different spelling then or the fact you'll get phone calls saying thanks for leaving the phone but can't believe how :poop: it is -have you not upgraded for ages???!!!

Sorry.

I escaped phishing for many years because I was always careful, no info published, no accounts linked etc etc etc.  Talktalk's lack of security and change of email system put pay to that 12 months ago.  Sadly I get so many phishing and spoofing emails now it's hard to keep up.  Worst is before the change to the webmail package I could filter it out or forward it without opening the message because you used to see the full header titles in the inbox. So bad when you don't get enough info presented to decipher whether it's rubbish or not before having to open the email now.

I have to say I still forward on as much spam / spoofing / phising emails and txt's I get to the reporting addresses.  I know nothing happens when it's reported but I still do it.

I also have a moral block on any "wordpress" websites now.  I'd say if I receive anything spurious -almost everything spoofing or phishing points me towards "wordpress" (when I hover the cursor over the weblink -not click it).  So sorry -I'm told wordpress is actually legitimate but not as far as I'm concerned

My late father got caught out with at least one phishing scheme and we never did get the money back.  I'm so careful with my mum these days.  She phones me each time she gets something unusual as she's not registered anywhere yet they know all her details and I'm always happy to check it out over the phone.

I cancelled allot of my on-line accounts since my card was hacked a few years ago, my smartphone doesn't link me to anything IT account wise, banking or addresses etc.  You just can't be too careful now.
