Pages 30 - 35 of the 2016 Railway Modeller Annual goes back to Peco's one time plans for an extensive range of N gauge mainly steam locomotives. The (Rivarossi) Jubilee should have been followed by a Coronation Pacific and a Castle. As well as a Brush Type 4 and 08 shunter, there were ideas for a vast range of Great Western, and Midland 0-6-0s as tank and tender engines, and a Southern Adams Radial and M7. Whilst several of these came to pass with other makers, many have not.

Did Peco have a superior collection of crystal balls back in the 1970s and 1980s without the will or the funding to develop the plans? Pity the Lowmac never made it to production either.
