..........
all he asked was - did anyone want to exhibit.
That will teach him.
Imagine; coming on here, asking such an inflammatory question and then the audacity of describing their operation requirements! :o
Flogging too good for them, I say. ;)

:laughabovepost:

Quite so, causing all this flogging of dead? horses as well, not to mention too many straws in the wind and nasturtiums that ought to remain in the kitchen garden.

I would like to suggest we move "Fancy Exhibiting" into General Discussion and re-name it as "Fancy Exhibitions",
you see CP the OP started well by saying
"interesting layout who might not have exhibited before ",
a laudable aim.
I would go further and like to see exhibitions of ordinary and incomplete layouts,
you see,
recently I announced that I was off to a model railway show,
the family said "oh, can we come ",
yes I said rather foolishly and to make matters worse daughter invited partner along as well.
Now I am ashamed to let any of them into my cave to play with my humble and totally incomplete amateurish setup :(

I think we need exhibitions of other than experts like, , ,

Certainly not !
First you must have at least 1766 posts before ,

Railwaygun

If they involve more families and kids in the hobby, then I don't care if they are commercial.

If they are looking for N gauge layouts , where else gives them access to 4700 N gaugers , many of whom have show quality layouts ( not including myself).

This show will probably have more influence than a years work from local clubs in expanding the hobby user base ( no criticism of their efforts intended).

So I will see you there!
