Following their excellent programme last night (The Battle of Britain - the Day the War was won), Channel 4 are showing another programme. This time it involves 30 - 40 Spitfires and Hurricanes from around the world making a fly past.
Sheer Merlin heaven :heart2:

Thanks NN, yes an excellent programme but I do wish the makers would come to understand that the Spitfire, great aircraft as it was, played a fairly minor role in the Battle. The true victor was the Hawker Hurricane which downed more Luftwaffe machines at that time than ALL other defences combined (RAF figures) but today is mentioned almost as an afterthought!
If it's not a Diesel Hydraulic then it's not a real locomotive.
