Then you will walk past a model shop and some 0 gauge track will just happen to follow you home ... ... ... How about that garden railway you have always dreamed of?

This is all getting a bit worrisome.

I have a thing for the class 33 diesel, in blue and yellow with those nice easy to understand TOPS numbers. I'm waiting (and waiting, and still waiting) for a couple of Dapol models in N but I do know that there is a nice Scandinavian company that has an O gauge version and an OO one as well.

Is this "versatility" thing catching ? Can I go and have a beverage or two until the feelings subside or should I get somebody to lock away my plastic cards instead.

And anyway, is the O gauge model any good ?

don't know if that other hOrrible scale model is any good, but I do find that a few beverages usually protect my plastic cards, as I then can't remember the number I have to input to buy something  :smiley-laughing:

so, try Scottish water, and I am sure you will soon be returned to sanity.

I know someone who has done Langstone bridge complete with Terriers in N. I wonder how long it would be in O. You'd need an aircraft hangar for that 😄

May I remind those objecting to other gauges RULE 1.

Really?  Rule one applies across gauges too?

Nah, surely not...  Gonna go lie down.....

There, doesn't that feel better?

I may appear to be listening to you, but inside my head, I'm playing with my trains.

I must confess to a similar regard for the J69 and would love one in GER blue but , fortunately for my wallet, no-one makes them except in kit form and I can resist that in other scales.

My guilty secret is my O gauge Western, with 5 mkIs and a full brake. I don't currently have room to display it, let alone lay the track i bought. Mrs MM is resisting the suggestion of a garden railway...
