NGS AMMC

Hello

There are very few entries for this year's NGS Annual Model Making Competition and I'd like to remind you that it is now just less than TWO weeks to the deadline for entering models.

The deadline is midnight on Saturday 6th June 2015

How to enter can be found at http://www.ngaugesociety.com/index.php?page=ammc-2

If you're not attending the AGM you can send entries to me by post.

Please pass this message on to as many NGS members as possible.

Thanks
Michael

I had a crack last year. However the downside of a new baby is that I have not completed any modelling projects in the intervening 12 months. :(

I'll be away for this years Ammc and AGM, but even if I were not, Gareth has outdone us all already, and I have nothing to match him, but maybe next year....

In a moment of weakness and at great expense I've gone and booked a couple of nights accommodation in North Wales so I'd better attend the AGM/AMMC. I'll have to dust down the odd model or two.

You know it makes sense Gareth! I'll look forward to receiving your entry forms and seeing the models on the day.

Best regards

Hi Michael,
You should have four entry forms from me... just expecting to be making up the numbers really. Hope you get a lot of last minute entries to make it a good competition. Now I just have to finish a couple of the models off and get them in the international postal system.
:worried: :confused1: :( :-\

Somewhat off topic- sorry.

I am a member of the North Wales Club that is hosting the AGM and on the Sunday, we have a late offer if any one is interested:-

A once only bargain offer!
Llandudno Junction to Porthmadog and return with a visit to the Boston Lodge works included  - £25.00 all in.

http://www.festrail.co.uk/bostonlodge.htm

Interested parties should reserve their places with Mr Ieuan Roberts on 01492 547251  in the next few days and follow up with a £25.00 cheque payable to N Gauge Society - North Wales Area Group.
VERY LIMITED PLACES LEFT - FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED!
Whenever I write a letter to someone, I add a footnote briefly explaining Ohm's law. It's my P.S. de resistance.

Sorry I didn't have anything to enter this year, Michael. The same issues that have kept me away from running the Era 1 & 2 group effectively have kept me away from modelling.

I'll be there next year, though, with a clutch of new models to prop up the lower end of the judging order. It might include my C class 0-6-0, even if I can't get the damn thing to work properly (after all, the judges don't see them running, do they??  :P )

Pre-Grouping: the best of all possible worlds!

Not up until now but they may well do from next year  ;)
