Just to put you youngsters out of your misery, 1001 was a carpet cleaning liquid, sold by, IMMS Bex Bissel. It was priced at just below 2s and 6d. It had an annoying little ditty about cleaning a big, big, carpet for less than half a crown. Amazing what sticks in the memory.

How about Stanley's man?
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

As I started this thread in Dec 2013, I thought I'd make my 4000th post here  :laugh3: :laugh3:
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

Thanks but if I were you I wouldn't send any locos here for servicing  !
Taking locos apart is definitely not my forte - unless you want them never to run again that is !
