great central road bridge

now, just a quick question as i developed upon a problem with my layout...

my plan was to use the great central road bridge, as it goes with the high level platform entrance, etc etc. the plan was to use all the GC range for my platforms.

now my track layout for my platforms goes...

track-platform 1/2-track-track-platform 3-track...

i didnt think of it as a problem, until i realised the road bridge is only single track....

how can i get round this but by still using the GC road bridges? i know that one arch will have to be completley different but needs to look the same at the same time...

any ideas?

Can't you just butt up 3 single span sections together?
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

I don't think the spans were ever widened, many road over bridges were built to accommodate four tracks below as it was envisaged when built that the GC London Extension would one day be quadrupled, but traffic never lived up to such grand plans.

Looking at these photos of Ruddington, it is evident that the bridges were built for two tracks either side of the platform but also that these are beam bridges supported by metal girders, not a wider version of the brick arch bridge supplied by Farish.  Obviously this is only one station and others may have been different (there are plenty of other stations on the site to cross-check) but at least it provides some kind of excuse. 

A bridge of this type is reasonably easy to scratchbuild using plastic sections and brick embossed plastic sheet or brick paper - embossed sheet might be easier to paint to match the Farish buildings.

Note that some of the photos are recent views, after the bridge was infilled with single line arches, presumably intended for any future extension of the GCR towards Nottingham.  These arches are cosmetically similar to the Farish type.

Sort of getting a pattern where the arches were for single tracks and for anything bigger a girder stule bridge was used
