The society website says expected dispatch date is 16/03/2012

16th March?  ???

Running late like the trains is it?  ;D

Paul

:-[ :-[ :-[ i should learn to read properly ;D ;D ;D ;D i never noticed it was march ;D ;D ;D

OOPS!! sorry for that - Finger trouble - next time I shall learn to link it in properly

Hee hee, happens to us all at some time  ;D Was too good a joke to miss with our notoriously tardy transport system though  ;)

I think we all appreciate the unpaid work that goes into the journal, and the fact that the 'small fry' usually have to take second/third/fourth place at the printers behind those that have HUGE runs and therefore pay more money, so let's not get too defensive here  :)

The NGS still manage to put out a good quality mag every two months and it's rarely more than a couple of days late at the most. Like Paul B I never look at the due dates anyway, so it's a nice surprise to find the next journal has arrived  :)

What makes me appreciative is comparing it to our car club magazine, which sometimes appears to have been written by a 5-year-old and typed by a chimp with mittens on!  :-\

Ironically, I think everyone is actually in agreement.

The late train joke was just that. A bit cheeky perhaps, but it made me chuckle, but it wasnt intended to be a sleight on the NGS.

And i get the sense that everyone appreciates the difficulties the NGS has with getting a print run done economically, that will keep the society costs and fees down.

And i think we all appreciate the NGS volunteers, the high quality of the journal and the fact that we get one every couple of months.

I think gwrwill got an answer to his OP... It's due anytime but is held up a little in printing.
