destined to run over N gauge metals,

Steamers in green and BR black,
and colourful coaches to put on the back,
Diesels from Deltics to tiny 03s,
(mine will be one of the HSTs )

Multiple Units and Railcars galore,
and more little wagons than you ever saw,
Container trains, box vans, cement wagons too,
brake vans and milk tanks to name but a few. 

Bolsters and ballasters, what more could you ask?
There's even one carrying a nuclear flask!
7-planks and oil tanks and hoppers for coal,
the latest from Farish, Peco and Dapol,

This is the night mail crossing the border,
bringing the Hattons and Rails online order,
Buying new N gauge is fun there's no doubt,
just cross your fingers the wife don't find out!
