Friends, recently I have purchased items from Ebay France and Ebay Belgium.

The parcels arrived beautifully packaged and with gifts and messages.

The one from Belgium was accompanied by a small selection of foil wrapped Belgian chocolates and a very nice card wishing me well.

The package from France was also well packed complete with a handwritten note thanking me for my purchase and wishing me success with my modelling and a picture of the gentleman's shop and his wife standing outside waving!

I thought that it was such a pleasant change and something from which we could all benefit by adopting.

Mind you, if I buy from "Tank" again I hope he doesn't inflict a mug shot on me!!!

Ha...

If I included a gift like that with a kit I sent out I'd probably be counted as a food business with all the relevant regulation and inspection !

I have to admit that could be somewhat offputting, Peter, but it may be the price we have to pay for transactions with The Exalted one

Good to hear that courtesy still exists, much needed in these times of Ebay horror tales.
Re Belgian purchase , last year I was hillwalking in Rannoch area and while heading for Rannoch
Station , bumped into a charming Belgian couple in a campervan who gave me a bottle of beer and a
sandwich , we swapped email addresses and we exchange greetings every now and then.

Sounds like a nice trip, the Belgian beer scene makes Oz look like a temperance meeting

I really enjoyed a lot of Brussels - great food, brilliant arts museum. Pity most of the city looks like coventry on a bad day.

I haven't actually been there except for the days me missus sends me there, which is just about every one (I love her, honest).

Seriously , I've heard a lot of good stuff about Brussels and (WE) are looking forward to going there.
