Re the Blue 08...I am amazed how much BR Blue is in fashion (if our hobby has such a thing) these days....wasn't it hated at the time?!

It's only my opinion, of course, but as a spotter of green diesels I was quite horrified to see the first experimental blue on Brush Type 4 D1733 and then how swiftly this 'blue uniform' spread causing the demise of all the different liveries that the diesels sported, especially as the WR spoiled the lovely maroons of the Westerns/Warships. I have over 30 diesels in N, and none of them are blue and never will be.

It does suit some locos well, but generally I prefer green and maroon for diesels. I have a few blue diesels to run on my railway, but they are used on rare occasions. I normally run transition era stuff and sometimes pre BR.

BTW - all S and J Models stock seems to have gone!

I may be lucky that I never spotted British diesels but being a big fan of them I have to say I really like all the Green and the Blue liveries, my favorite being the Class 37s painted in the Regional Railways livery, I intend to get one of those babies on my new OO gauge layout
Keep on Smiling
