For those who can recall the start of this auspicious forum, you may remember one of the original Mods was Lawrence. I'm happy to say the poor chap became a grandfather yesterday to a grandson, Alexander.
I say 'poor chap' because it won't be too long before the babysitting becomes a reality

If he's a proper grandfather, all birthday and Xmas presents for the next 5 years will of course feature a blue tank engine..

I often think about Lawrence, loved his posts.
In particular as I walked past my raspberry patch yesterday I was reminded of the pruning tip he posted a few years ago, and one I follow diligently to this day, and it has resulted in us having a wonderful crop of raspberries every year since.
Please pass on my best wishes on becoming a grandfather.
