So sad to hear the news that Jeff Beck has died he was a fantastic guitarist. Condolences to his family. One of the performances I will always remember was him playing" cause we ended as lovers"  with Tal Wikenfield at Ronnie Scott's club, fantastic.

Thanks Mick for the links. Apparantly Johnny Depp was at his bedside when he died, he had become good friends with Jeff.

I couldn't agree more, I saw him at the Royal Albert Hall on 27/10/2010 and he was absolutely stunning with a fantastic band. An inventive performer who was always happy to just let his band, in this case, Jason Rebello (k), Rhonda Smith(b)* and Narada Michael Walden(d) do their thing. He didn't hog the spotlight at all and let his backing band have their moments along with guests Sharon Corr and Imelda May. A gracious musician RIP. And to be controversial way way better than Eric Clapton (IMO).

He was even popular with skinheads - 'Hi Ho Silver Lining'  :)

Just listened to "'Cause We've Ended as Lovers", lovely - doesn't he make it look so easy. Written by Stevie Wonder for those who didn't know.

A sad loss. One of, if not the, best guitarist. Saw him with Tim Bogart and Carmine Appice in the 70s. A fantastic night, they literally brought the ceiling down. The venue had to be closed for repairs.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Very tragic news the world is a poorer place. RIP

Oh no... yet another one of the greats gone. It's an unfortunate fact of life that all of his generation have either already gone on are getting there.

A shame, but true.

RIP Jeff Beck.
