The latest issue of Model Rail magazine has a article about parcels traffic. There is a really interesting photo of Chacewater Junction Stn, change for Perranporth and Newquay...maybe of interest to our members who model Cornwall like @port perran and @Chris in Prague, plenty of detail. The article itself is pretty good too showing the different types of goods.

Thank you Chris.
Yes, Chacewater is about 3 miles from where we live. A village notorious for its traffic snarl ups as it's on a rat run to Truro.
It was a very interesting junction until the line from Chacewater to Newquay closed in the 60s.
There's virtually no trace of the station left now except the platform edging on one side.
On my own layout, trains run from Trepol Bay to Truro via chacewater.
Cheers
Martin
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

I thought it may be of interest to you Martin, the name of your layout was a clue of course.

Many thanks, Chris. I'll see if I can buy a copy and have it posted. I've bought quite a few books of Cornish railway photos. recently. I'll post about them, next month.

Model Rail is one of the e-magazines offered for free by many of the libraries I belong to, over here. May 2021, 285 is the latest I have access to at the moment.

June 2021 issue 287 is the latest, I get mine on subscription so should get it early.
