It's a shame that F1 has gone over to the Murdoch 'dark side'. Like football, you now have to pay for the privilege to watch it live on your TV. I understand that the BBC will still screen some races, however it makes me question even more what we pay our license fee's for as majority of beeb programs are repeats and I'm no big fan of Eastenders either.

It'll give them more money to spend on things like the tube program instead of hours of watching the same set of people go round and round making "brrummm" noises.

The only F1 I want is on my keyboard ;)

Isn't that 'strictly come dancing on some miserable old trouts face'? Yes, really worth the license fee that! ;D

You've hit the nail on the head Zunnan. The BBC in my books does not offer variety or good value for money. I feel that we should have the choice not to pay TV license fee just to fund this rubbish.
It's funny that I can choose my gas, electricity and phone and broadband supplier, I can chose to have sky or virgin yet I'm forced to pay a fee for something that has 70 % repeated shows and screens absolute tripe most of the time.

I bet the F1 fans who don't have sky are fed up too. I dare say the Beeb will only get the not so glamorous F1 races whilst sky get the meaty races like Monaco?

At the end of last season the BBC stated they would show 50% of the races in full and 50% as highlight programmes. We'll probably get all the ones no one goes to
I feel the BBC has really shot itself in the foot this time round and, as I hate Sky with a vengeance, I'll just have to suffer >:(

As I understand it, the BBC will always have the British GP, and the last race of the year live, and Sky get the first of the year. The rest varies season-by-season...

This Season the BBC have:
15 April: China
13 May: Spain
27 May: Monaco
24 June: Europe
8 July: Britain
2 September: Belgium
23 September: Singapore
14 October: Korea
4 November: Abu Dhabi
25 November: Brazil

I'd say thats a mixed bag: The classic Monaco; Spa (Belgium) - still one of the best tracks and usually one on the more entertaining races; Singapore - probably the best of the 'new' circuits but a few lemons in there such as Valencia (Europe) and Abu Dhabi...
