Im thinking of buying the Grafar 47306 "The Sapper" in Railfreight Distribution livery - well it'll look great on a rake of VGAs, Warwells and Warflats  8)
I presume its not the latest Farish 47 chassis is it?

Being an ex-Royal Engineer myself, train enthusiast, and class 47 lover, this particular model is one of my favorites. The model was released in 2005 and is an updated chinese chassis of the original poole class 47. The model IMO still holds its own and the paint work and detail on the body shell is way up there still.

With a bit of weathering this model looks great pulling MOD VGA's, war wells hauling warrior's or 432 APC's. The model being over 6 years old should be rather cheap to buy also. Well worth it in my books

But yeah, with a good layer of filth etc it should look good, just need to be paid so I can order a few Ian Stoate Warflats
Cant wait for my PG Models PFA and container to arrive along with my "N"spirations yearbook, though not a clue why I only ordered one PFA though  ???

For any good looking MOD loads for wagons, PG Moldels do some excellent vehicles:

Yeah, I have their page bookmarked, the Scammel tank transporter looks fantastic!!!!
Tank has some Leyland DAF 4 tonners on his layout, would like to know where he got them from!!??

Yes, it is one of the old ones.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with owl729 - put the new and old 47s next to each other and look at the differences (and errors on the old 47s).

Cheers, Mike

RFD livery has been a favourite of mine since it was introduced back in 1994. Also really suits the Class 47's. Dont just stick to 47306 though.....If your feeling brave enough, have ago at re-numbering and naming a pair ;)

This is my pair. 47033 The Royal Logistic Corps & 47053 Dollands Moor International complete with TPM Green circle mult boxes, etched names, crests and Tinsley plaques from Shawplan. This pair will be for my intermodal train on Stafford.
