Sad news. I've always listen to his music when laying on the beach when on holiday, I have some wonderful memories which connects to some of his songs.

A sad loss.  :(

Must admit, I've never heard of him or the band. I like that song and clip, though.... thanks for posting!

Yet another bites the dust in January. What's goin' on?

Who he ?

Just realised I know the song

Quite a shame.  I was a big fan (as many others were here in the States) of that song.  Ironically, I never knew (and I'm finding out today I've got a lot of company!) the man' name given name until now.  He was always just "Black."

Love the voice , love the words in the songs , yet another one gone too soon

Apparently was involved in bad car crash and was so injured that they induced a coma for the body to heal.

I went past the scenes of the video last week, and apart from the looping coaster, the locations are all still there, from the art deco bus shelter at New Brighton to the ship cut off channel near Ellesmere.

Great song, and some pretty good follow up singles too.

Retired to the R.O.Ireland to become an artist i believe.
Very sad

I agree with all the above sentiments. He must have made a good, and richly deserved, living out of one iconic song even without his other work, and I always loved his voice and songs.
