Morrisons in Hereford, a short walk from Hereford Model Centre.
Beat me to naming that one, Squiddy, but that's the one I was referring to up above  :D
is there a Waitrose around there? I only pass through every year or so. I suppose we could add the Lidl too  :D

MikeDunn

Yeah, these days there is

Remember the old cattle market on the north side (by the football ground) ?  Flattened & replaced with a mid-sized Waitrose, a bunch of clothes shops & a food area (steakhouse, Nandos, etc); oh & an Odeon.  Reasonable parking; shop in Waitrose & they give you 2 hours free   Short walk along the ring-road to the model shop, or over into town.

Likewise ;)

We use Morrisons or Tesco depending what we need, one does things that the other doesn't do. Must say all three Tesco stores near me are fine, produce lasts longer than Morrisons' stuff

Oh, that sort of direction-ish. I wouldn't claim to know Hereford particularly well, I just pass through every now and again.

Back on topic, I'm completely ambivalent about Tesco. I do have a kind of soft spot for ASDA, as some of their products seep through into our local Walmarts-owned emporium.

That doesn't say much  ::)  We find the 'local' Morrisons as bad as Tesco ...  A shame; they used to be a decent grocer - until they got the idea of playing against the 'big boys'  :worried:  The Co-op tries that (and fails ...) too ... You're lucky if you see 5 other shoppers in the local Co-op !  Totally out-numbered by staff (although never at the tills ...  :confused1:)

All we want is for the perishables we buy to have a reasonable fridge or shelf life, so we can eat them ... instead of binning them.  Is that too much to ask  ???
