Rokuhan RC-02 controller

Just finishing my plans for a small test track based on Littleton Curve, 35"x21", and decided to make it scenic. I have some old US Bachmann controllers, but was wondering if a more modern Rokuhan Z gauge controller would be more kinder on more modern electric motors? It is a maximum voltage of 10V dc. Would this work? Also, would R1 radius Peco set track be ok for Farish 4P and J39?
