Here is a tale of woe. For my recent  30th Annivessary present SWMBO bought me a DCC fitted Dapol Anthony Manor Loco.
I ran it in with no trouble on a DC test track but as soon as transferred it started playing up. Not responding to the controller, wild burst of speed etc. As I travel for work I had the chance to call in at DCC Supplies near Worcester who informed me that they are Dapols main warranty repair people and that the decoder from Gaugemaster was not compatible with my Bacchmann EZ control system.
Rather than spen £160 ish on a new system I ordered a Bachmann decoder. It worked :claphappy:  when I went to replace the tender body it didn't fit. The decoder is too long even with the blue wrapping trimmed to size  :'(.
I then called on a local shop Osborne Models who very kindly called Guagemaster who informed them and me that the original decoder has been tested and should work with EZ. Osbornes kindly offered to look at the loco and see if they could programme the CVs to get it to work properly. Great offer as I had not bought any of the items from them very impressed with their service and friendly attitude .

So I returned home replaced the original Decoder during which process the connecting wires from the loco to the tender based motor broke. I tried replacing them with the spares but one of them broke as well  :veryangry:
I thought oh well perhaps Osbournes or someone will be able to fit a replacement . On attempting to refit the tender body I then found the snap on clip had broken so the tender body does not sit in place properly  :censored:

So I am at a bit of a loss and would like to know what you guys think I should or can do. Technically there is no fault with the loco as it is now broken as a result of my actions though I was extremely careful, however I was only fiddling with it cos of the advice from DCC supplies which now appears suspect.
Do I just take the hit on the cost of replacing the tender body?

I await your input
Thanks
Not sure its supposed to do that

I'd try DCC supplies again and tell them that the item broke whilst you were acting on their advice. In any event it will probably be them that fix it anyway.
  :beers:
Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

A quick update on this. I took my loco to DCC Supplies and they have agreed to fix it as a warranty repair. Very impressed I was not expecting that. Excellent service I will certainly be getting my new system from them
Not sure its supposed to do that
