Have you tried one of them steam cleaner doodahs?
Yes but doesn't help a lot.
:thankyousign:

Bleach, undiluted? I generally find that gets rid of pretty much anything!
Including fingers!!!!
:hmmm:
Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

Well, yes, you need to wear gloves - my tactic is to pour it on straight from the bottle, then wash it off with the shower a few hours later!

If you really want to go nuclear get some strong caustic going...  :-X

Actually a local licensed club where I was a director had this stuff the cleaners used which was eventually banned. It was an American product called "Blue Thunder." No wonder the stuff was banned - used it on the shower at the place I was living at the time, and it totally removed the grouting from the tiles.

It even ate through the bottom of the plastic spray bottle I stored it in! Dunno what was in it, but it was evil stuff.

I had a curry like that last night!

SWMBO used to complain about the scum and stuff on the shower walls and tray. One never seems to suffer from stains because it is in a shaded corner, but the other one which caught a lot of sunlight was always a problem. After initial cleaning with the lemon and vinegar it now stays clean and bright using the squeegee.

The shower routine also involves collecting the cold water which runs before the stored hot water arrives at the shower head. The cold water is used for rinsing food debris off plates and dishes before they go into the dishwasher. My neighbour puts all her dishes in with food debris and replaces her dishwasher every four years. Ours achieved 18'years with no problem until the sundial timer lost calibration.

Is this really a railway modelling group?

What the heck is a Bodyflick? I had visions of having to clean the shower with me :moony: but it won't go up that high  :D

cheers John.

OMG so that so far is one of my few involuntary and genuine laughs this year.  I've actually seen it before to be honest.  I have the user of my hands so I can just hear Duncan Bannatyne's wrords saying I'm out.

...I find flash bleach spray shifts most in my bathroom.  Must admit though some black comes backround the bath  -In find alternating between products works very good.  It only comes back if I use the same product too long.

Ok, here we go.... as I sit typing this on me tablet do-dah thingy, I have just sprayed the product suggested by Buzzard (which is indeed called Easy Off here) and am leaving it for 5 mins as per directions. I am not hopeful.

The lemon and vinegar did not work, either. Looks like a new panel will have to be installed   :(

Well, after trying the product Buzzard suggested (thank you ), still no joy. Here's a couple of shots of the problem:
[smg id=24980 type=preview align=center width=400]
[smg id=24981 type=preview align=center width=400]
As can be seen in the second photograph, the door on the left is clear, but the panel on the right is covered in gunk. To be honest, I'm starting to think it's a fault in that particular glass panel. It's almost like it is pitted, and the scum has gotten into the glass itself.  :hmmm:

A mystery. Also having made a few calls, it seems that it will about the same price to replace the whole screen (door included) as just replacing one sheet of glass!  :worried:
