Says its new, however im 39 this year and am sure my cousin had this set in about 1982!!

I think the price is a tad high considering you can buy a dcc set for a lot less ;)

PLD

That set with the 4F dates from the latter days of production at Poole c 1996-2000.

Not quite as old as you suggest but certainly not new...

Don't quite get your comment about the price - it's currently showing as a 99p starting price plus £20 p&p.

I'm guessing he's listing it as new on the basis that he's saying it hasn't been used?.........

Thats the only thing I can think of.

was listed as BIN £250!
Yep, I saw that as well.
It is also described as
"Condition:
New: A brand-new, unused, unopened "

Yet clearly in the photo the lid is off !
also described, with a considerable lack of effort, as "Nuew",
barge and pole are two words that come to mind.

ScottyStitch

I think the description is an ebay generated one, and to give him the benefit of the doubt, it fitted closest to the "unused" part he's maybe meaning.

Maybe I'm just playing devil's advocate...... ;)

Yep, I know :) fun init :)
and I wouldnt be barge-poleing if he had put a bit more effort into the voluntary description bit :) :)

I've only discovered the delights of Ebay in the last couple of weeks... already I've learnt to ignore any listings containing any a) form of hyperbole, b) any listing which contains the names of more than one manufacturer, c) any listing which contains the words "kit built" or "scratch built" or "rare" or d) excessive use of punctuation (see a) ).

Totally agree, it's a dog's dinner of a listing!

dog's dinner
lol ! two more words springing to mind :)

I am expecting him to comment here, clearly watching us since
Only Me said" I think the price is a tad high considering you can buy a dcc set for a lot less"
whereupon the bin £250 vanished moments later.

scotsoft

The BIN price disappears when someone places a bid, so the seller may not be watching on here afterall  ;)

cheers John.
