well, iv decided that im going to venture on a new project which i can use on exhibitions, club meetings etc, and its a layout based on the ever so famous and popular Settle and Carlisle Line.

i came across what is one of my favourite layouts so far, Batty Moor by the Twickenham and District Club.

now its pretty much exactly the sort of scene i want to create, but have a few questions as i seem to struggle to find them, and when i emailed them iv yet to recieve a reply...

1-whats the dimensions of the layout? its hard to tell from the video angles and photos etc.
2-since i want to do something similar, where would you suggest i do? as Blea Moor is obviously already done, i want to choose a different section!

if i could get Ribblehead viaduct which i saw in a recent issue of a model railway magazine, i would happily do that, but i bet getting the viaduct made would not be cheap, although would look fantastic on the exhibition circuit!

any help appreciated

kind regards

Paul

Parky

The last photo is about half Ribblehead and looks to be made from Metcalfe kits for OO. I used 4 kits together to create my 12 arch viaduct and it fits on a 4 foot board.

So in less that 8 foot you can have a full Ribblehead. Add the Lyddle End station and signal box RTP's and you have all the bits you need. If I ever get any progress on mine I will post some piccies
